Painting in style
Who needs a paint brush when we can use our fingers. It makes a good textured look to our owls feathery tummy and it feels really soft and squishy when you move your finger across the paper.
Putting objects into groups
We have been learning how to put things into groups. We thought very hard and realised that they were the same colour!
Story time
The children have been choosing their favourite stories and talking about them amongst their peers. By doing this they are exploring the world of imagination and developing their communication skills as they describe what is happening.
Balancing can be hard when you are little like us.
We have been learning how to control our bodies to stop us from falling of the climbing frame. With a little more practice we will soon have it mastered.
Investigation time
The children experimented with various materials to see how different things would travel down the pipe. Some needed a little help whilst others moved easily.
Easter Egg hunt
The children enjoyed an Easter egg hunt around the yard. The Easter bunny even joined us and very kindly gave us all a tasty egg to take home, yummy.
Christmas Party
We all had lots of fun on our Christmas Party day. We had a super cooked Christmas dinner in the school canteen followed by lots of party games. To round off the day we had a visit from Santa!
Artists in the making!
The children explore with different materials and tools
Light Box Play
The younger members of Dalesplay have enjoyed exploring the different colours through the shapes on the light box. They have drawn their attention with the array of beautiful colours.
Zhu Zhu Hamsters come to Play
The children were delighted when some Zhu Zhu hamsters were donated to Dalesplay. They have spent hours setting up the runs and watching the Hamsters interact. We have had lots of pictures drawn of the Hamsters and they have been made to feel very welcome.
